After working with Skeivt arkiv since 2012, when the idea of a national queer archive in Norway was launched, the future of Skeivt arkiv was finally secured November 23rd 2015.

Thanks to hard and dedicated work from Venstre's Terje Breivik in the budget negotiations with the current government, Skeivt arkiv have been received secure financing, starting in 2016. After four years of working towards this goal, and seven months after the official opening of the archive, Skeivt arkiv can finally commence working fully as the national Norwegian archive and centre for queer history.

A huge thanks to everyone who has helped secure a national queer history archive in Norway!
