Turid Eikvam (born 1948)

Turid Eikvam is a criminologist and activist, and was one of the driving forces behind the magazine Løvetann.

Turid Eikvam has had a long and multifaceted career in the queer movement. She was active in the Working Group for Gay Liberation (AHF) for as long as the organization existed, served on the editorial board of the magazine Løvetann until it ceased publication in 2003, worked with the Health Committee for Homosexuals in the late 1980s, and was one of the driving forces behind the Network for Research on Homosexuality, which remained active until 2011.


Queer Archives met with Turid Eikvam in the summer of 2016, where she spoke about her time with Løvetann and her AIDS activism during the 1980s.
