In May 2018, Skeivt arkiv received an important part of newer queer history; the manuscript for episode 5, season 3 of Norwegian web series SKAM. Those who donated the manuscript are part of a group of 181 dedicated european SKAM fans, who all joined together to bid for the manuscript during the most recent charitable auction by radio station NRK P3. Thus, 100 000 kroners was donated to Unicef, and the manuscript with director Julie Andems own notes, was donated to Skeivt arkiv. It is not by chance that it is episode five, season three which is donated to the queer archive. In this episode, character Isak is told by his friend and roomate Eskild that gay liberation has been won because someone has fought hard for people's right to be gay, to march in Gay Pride wearing tights and mascara, and to be who they are. This clip helped put the spotlight on LGBT history in 2016, and we are thrilled to have this historic moment as part of Skeivt arkiv!
